Shipping Charge

Our standard shipping method within the United States and Canada is UPS Ground.

Sales to Alaska and Hawaii are shipped via UPS 2nd Day Air only. Please email us or call toll-free for a shipping quotation.

International orders are shipped via United Parcel Service, International Express, where available. We also ship via U.S. Mail Internationally. Please call or email us to get a firm price on shipping for international orders.

Credit Card Orders

We accept VISA, Master Card, American Express and Discover credit cards. You can use the shopping cart and check out online or simply call in your credit card order to 800-501-1415. Please note our website uses advanced Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to protect your personal data and credit card information. We are secured by thawte - click the seal in the left column of the website on-line store to check our certificate status.

Purchase Orders / Net Terms

We accept Purchase Orders from companies and organizations within the United States and Canada. Fax your Company Purchase Order to 812-242-9177. Our payment terms are net 30 days. Customers will be invoiced on the ship date. Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice. A 1.5% monthly interest fee (18% APR) will be added to any unpaid balance. We perform credit checks through Dunn & Bradstreet as well as other credit agencies for buyers paying on net terms.

Sales Tax

A 6% sales tax will be added to the selling price for all Indiana customers.

International Orders

Buyers are responsible for the payment of customs, brokerage, duties or taxes levied on international sales duties.

Shipping charges on outgoing and incoming shipments are the responsibility of the buyer.

Payment methods for international orders

Prepay in U.S. dollars by bank certified checks drawn on a United States bank, payable to Accurate Scales, Inc.

VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. Note that your billing address must match your shipping address for all international orders.

You may also wire transfer funds directly to us. Please contact us for details.

Privacy Policy

We keep your personal information private. We do not share or sell any personal information you provide to us with third parties. When you order on-line, the security of your information is protected during transmission by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts all the information you input.

Exchanges

If you have an exchange, call 800-501-1415 for a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA)prior to return shipment and must accompany all exchanges. If you received a faulty item and need to exchange it for the same item, call our return department to request a replacement. If you would like to exchange an item for a different one, place another order for the item you wish to purchase. You do not have to wait for us to receive the original item before placing the new order. You will be refunded once we receive the return item. Please note that it takes us 3 to 5 business days to process returns once they arrive at our Returns Center. Custom and specialty items do not apply to our exchanges policy.

Returns

If you have a return, call 800-501-1415 for a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA)prior to return shipment. This number must accompany all returns. You may return most new, unused items sold by Accurate Scales, Inc. within 14 days of shipment. We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error. All returned items must be received in new, unused condition with all manuals, parts, original packaging and paperwork intact. Returns that are not exchanged for another item will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Custom products and special order items are not returnable.

Please print RMA number legibly on top of the package. Packages w/o RMA numbers will not be accepted. All shortcomings, discrepancies, short-shipment etc. should be brought to the notice of Accurate Scales, Inc within a period of 48 hours from the date of the receipt; Accurate Scales, Inc. will not be responsible, or liable thereafter.

Refunds

Refunds will be determined by Accurate Scales, Inc. upon inspection of the returned product. Additional charges will be deducted from the customer’s refund if, upon inspection, it is determined that the returned product has been used and/or damaged by the customer. A refund check will be issued to the customer within fifteen (15) days of receipt of returned merchandise with an accompanying RMA#. Refunds credited back to credit cards are subject to an additional charge of 3.5%. This will be deducted from the credit amount to cover our processing costs. Shipping charges are not refundable.
